On Saturday evening there were reports of an incident in Penycae, locally rumoured to be involving two men entering a house making threats with a firearm.

Today Police have confirmed an incident took place and are appealing for information.

North Wales Police said “Police were called to an address in Copperas Hill, Penycae near Wrexham at 3.40pm on Saturday November 23 following reports that two men had entered a house and threatened the occupants with a firearm”

“No one was injured during the incident and nothing was stolen. The offenders who were wearing grey tracksuits made off in a car.”

Police attended the scene and a search of the area was carried out.

Investigations continue and police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference number P192234.
