A unique and festive event with a crafty twist will arrive in Wrexham Town Centre this week.

In a first for the town a giant tipi will arrive on Queen’s Square on Wednesday 14 December as part of Wrexham’s Christmas events calendar.

The tipi, which which will be open until Saturday 17 December, will offer daily craft sessions for children and warming festive drinks for adults.

Joe Bickerton, Destination Manager at Wrexham County Borough Council, said: “We hope that this family attraction adds to the footfall for town centre retailers in the lead up to Christmas. It’s also important that we continue to give visitors more reasons to come into town with new events that appeal to different ages.

“Tipi’s offer a really unique, intimate experience therefore we’ll be giving people the opportunity to feel Christmassy with a selection of warm, festive drinks and free daily craft sessions for children.”

The festive tipi is being supplied by local firm, Event In a Tent. If successful it is hoped the event will become a regular feature in Wrexham’s Christmas programme.

Entrance is free and daily craft sessions will run across the four days between 10am and 4pm.

More information about the event and what to expect can be found here.
