Discarded Cigarette Results in Bedroom Fire

A discarded cigarette resulted in a fire at a property in Llangollen late last night. 

At 10:02pm last night two crews from Wrexham and Llangollen were called to a house fire in Llangollen.

The fire was caused by a discarded cigarette and was confined to a first floor bedroom in the property.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there was minimal damage caused to a carpet as a result of the fire. However there was ‘heavy smoke’ due to the incident.

It has been confirmed that no one was injured as a result of the fire.
