“Deliberate ignition” suspected at house fire in Penycae

The fire service have said they believe a house fire ‘was caused by deliberate ignition’.

Johnstown Fire Station have published the above picture from an incident yesterday afternoon.

They said three appliances were mobilised to a house fire in Penycae, “Upon arrival, smoke could be seen issuing from the rear of the property.

“Under further inspection, Crews determined the fire was contained to a outbuilding.

“Two Hose Reel Jets and Two Breathing Apparatus were used to quickly bring the fire under control to prevent further fire spread or damage to the property and them around it.

“It is believed that this fire was caused by deliberate ignition.

They add, “Remember Arson is a serious crime with devastating consequences!”
