Brymbo Councillor Paul Rogers has been presented with dozens of letters in support of planning applications for the Brymbo Steelworks site.

Brymbo Developments Ltd have submitted outline planning applications for housing and a small supermarket and small retail units on disused land on the former industrial site.

Brymbo Developments Ltd propose to use funding released from the sites to construct the Brymbo to Tanyfron spine road.

The campaign to support the planning applications has been supported by local businesses in the community who have recognised the importance of the spine road in realising the full range of community benefits such as employment, preservation of the heritage area and recreation.

Commenting upon the letters of support Councillor Paul Rogers said

“I would like to thank those who have taken time to comment upon these two planning applications”

“There has been significant support from Brymbo, Tanyfron and the surrounding communities.”

“All representations I have received have been presented to the Council’s Planning Department for consideration”

We wrote two weeks ago about a community association who are against the development.
