Male Hospitalised Following Collision Between Cyclist & ‘Taxi’ in Acton

A male has been taken to hospital following a two vehicle collision in Wrexham this afternoon.

North Wales Police were called to a collision involving a cyclist and a Peugeot ‘Taxi’ at 3.44pm this afternoon.

The incident took place near the shops on Park Avenue in Acton.

Muck Away cleaning took the above picture showing three police vehicles at the scene, saying: “Accident in Acton by the shops, police at scene, hope every one is ok.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at just before 3.40pm today Thursday, 8th October to reports of a road traffic collision in Park Avenue, Wrexham area involving a cyclist and another vehicle.

“We responded with a Rapid Response Vehicle and an Emergency Ambulance and a male adult was conveyed to the Maelor Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”

Police are currently directing traffic away from the scene, with reports that the road is still closed.
