Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, visited the newly re-opened Cross Foxes pub in Erbistock last month to see the work of the Martin brothers who are returning the pub to its former glory.

Since its re-opening on Saturday 8th April, The Cross Foxes has already begun to see a regular flow of customers, and Simon Baynes MP was delighted to visit the pub with Sarah Atherton, Member of Parliament for Wrexham.

The MP explained when the 18th-century pub was forced to close last year, it was a shock to the Erbistock community as the Cross Foxes has long served the area adding the pub was bought by the chain Marston’s and duly taken on by the brothers Sean, Matt and Robbie Martin who are making a great success of this much-loved establishment.

Speaking about their time so far at The Cross Foxes, the Martin brothers said:

“We would like to thank everybody for their support, custom and for the incredible feedback. It’s been a pleasure to re-open such a wonderful pub.”

Speaking about his visit, Simon Baynes MP said:

“It was fantastic to see first-hand how well this pub is doing since recently re-opening. The meal was delicious and it was a pleasure to meet Sean Martin – The Cross Foxes plays a crucial role in our community. I wish them every success in the future.”
