Those up early enough last Friday had a sight of a large hot air balloon gracing the skies of Wrexham – and we have been sent a few quick clips of the view from the other end!

The video starts with a view of Hightown and down towards Abenbury Road across with Caia in the distance. After a brief hair-interlude there is a view up Cefn Road then across left over town, with Waterworld clear to see.

After looking down on Kempton Way the clip shifts to a short shot over Borras with part of the golf club viewable below.

The footage was taken by Stuart Lloyd who was in the balloon along with Andrew Lloyd and Kathryn Jones – all from Coedpoeth.

The flight took off from the Plassey at 6:30am and slowly drifted over the area, landing in Burton around 90 minutes later.

UPDATE – the below is a replacement video from an earlier version, with more clips!

The low and slow flight was slightly unusual in the morning skies over Wrexham, and we had a mini flurry of tweets with pictures from the other view!
