A Councillor has said they hope a clean up of the verges of the Llan-Y-Pwll link road could soon take place.

Cllr Debbie Wallice of Borras has described the road as being in an ‘awful state’ with rubbish ‘piling up on both sides of the dual carriage way’.

Many others have spoken of similar issues on some roads in the Wrexham area, with recent tree and bush removal work on the A483 bypass revealing some historic rubbish as well.

Cllr Wallice said: “I’ve spoke to the council several times about this, even going as far as looking into a community clean up event, however due to health and safety and the logistics of such clean up it can’t go ahead.

“However, I’m pleased to say that the council are looking at undertaking a works programme on the Llan-Y-Pwll Link Road early in the next financial year, this will hopefully include the clearing of all the litter.”
