A car has been destroyed in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of this morning.

Kara sent us these pictures overnight of the incident on Griffiths Road, just off Mold Road, in Gwersyllt shortly after 2am.

Kara told us: “Blue Mark 5 golf parked and on fire right outside the new Stansty walks development on Griffith’s Road, Gwersyllt

“I thought it was a firework waking me up at this time!”

The fire is believed to have been deliberate and totally destroyed the vehicle.

Anyone with any information on the incident should call police via the 101 number, or use the North Wales Police webchat facility.
