Children at Caego Day Nursery have been raising money for a local hospice by taking part in a sponsored reindeer run.

Each day the children will take part in the event with a special visit from Santa each day.

The reindeer run has been raising vital funds for Nightingale House Hospice, with hundreds of pounds raised so far.

Rebecca Hosie, who works as a nursery manager said: “The children and their families have raised a huge amount of money so far.

“Our total at present is approximately £700 with more money to come in.”

Sam Amis, community fundraiser of Nightingale House Hospice, added: “Every year Nightingale House Hospice supports hundreds of families across Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch. who are going through one of life’s hardest journeys.

“We want to be there to care for each and every person with a life-limiting illness who needs us.”

“That is why we are so grateful to Caego Day Nursery for all the hard work they have put into this fund raising event.

“The funds raised help Nightingale House to make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people and their loved ones every day.

“Thank you to All the children and Staff at Caego Day Nursery !”

The money Caego Day Nursery raises will go towards Nightingale House Hospice’s vital services, such as the charity’s inpatient unit, day therapy service, outreach service and family support service.
