Update: The bus and HGV have since been recovered.

Original information below…

There are tailbacks this morning along the A525 after a school bus and a lorry have got stuck in snow.

Gemma sent us the top picture, saying: “Big drop of hailstones this morning in Coedpoeth just before school run time. This blue lorry got stuck going up the hill outside Dant y Coed dentists and the school bus got stuck going down the hill.”

“Massive thanks to the people digging them out and spreading grit. The downhill queue was back to Bwlchgwyn when I got through.”

Joanne told us: “Avoid Coedpoeth high street – traffic at a complete standstill” with others saying a school bus had become stuck due to snow and ice.

The bus is stuck close to the speed camera on the main road through Coedpoeth. A second incident has also been reported, with a HGV heading up towards Coedpoeth also getting stuck.

One person has told us the roads are ‘like a sheet of ice’ and ‘totally white’, with Chloe posting this picture of the conditions in Coedpoeth:

We have also been told of a two car incident on the A483 bypass close to the Rhostyllen junction on the soundbound carriageway.
