A483 northbound reopens after three vehicle collision

Update: Sam has sent us the above picture of the incident saying; “It was my wife and daughter who sadly got driven into. It was 2 cars involved, but as you can see, lots of debris. Happy to report my family is OK.”

The road has since reopened.

UPDATE: North Wales Police have issued an update stating that three vehicles have been involved in the collision.

Police say: “There is some debris on the carriageway which will need clearing , there is also damage to the crash barrier.

“Road Policing units is conducting a rolling road block from the Coedpoeth junction”.

ORIGINAL: The northbound A483 is blocked before the Mold Road junction – with queues back to the Ruthin Road turn off.

We are told a car has hit the central reservation barrier.

Police have said incident has involved two vehicles between the on slip and off slip at Junction 5 Northbound. Police and ambulance are on scene.

Both lanes are shut. Diversions in place to use the off-slip , then back on via the on slip north of the collision
