Not related to the above, but am I correct in thinking that the temporary traffic lights on the Wrexham Road roundabout are not synch’d correctly. Seems to be that both the Pulford Rd ( B5445) & A483 sets are on Red simultaneously way too long ?

My only problem with the new conurbation around this area is that the b**gers demolished my favorite railway footbridge. This was the place that a few of us came to grips with the daemonic Capt. C. Sberg. ( Special sort ).

He thrashed us soundly, which is what we rightly deserved. Staggering back to Yale XI form across Kirbys forecourt to receive the DD grades which served us well(ish)

I’m expecting to raid the bins around the back of Majestic sometime soon in the remote hope that I will find some delectable, slightly aged parachute canopies.

Furthermore, I wonder if BB have to pay any penalties ?

If Lesley Griffiths is going to urge everyone to lobby Vinci, wouldn’t it be an idea for her office to point everyone in the same direction i.e. publish a common contact that we should all send our protests to ?

There is a drop in session being held at the Holiday Inn (Hotel Chester side of the large roundabout) on Friday 5th September, where plans of the scheme will be able to be viewed and details of the scheme can be discussed with the engineers.

The drop in session will be between 10:00am and 8:00pm

Pity they didn’t advertise this particular group hug on the recently installed sign-age. Maybe they aren’t so daft after all !

    …instead its black.

( New speed cameras trap motorists from space on trial in UK | Mail Online – to be clear, I’m not a Mail reader !!!)

Do speed cams have to be Yellow ( they’re not on the M1/M25 ) ?

    Multi-purpose use maybe ?

Couldn’t/Didn’t see anything about over night closures on the signs this morning. I did notice a camera has been set up on the flyover between the Llay turn off and the Post House end. Maybe to monitor traffic?

In addition to the one you mention ( the portable yellow pole ? ), have you seen the new 2nd camera on the Burton bridge pointing south ?

I would like to think that this is going to be used to monitor flow as part of the new roadworks, but this looks like a SpeedSpike to me. I think there’s a buddy camera on the opposite side of the bridge pointing north.

I don’t speed for a number of good reasons, but be careful everyone if it does turn out to be a SpeedSpike.
