Something to add to this discussion. Llay school has 298 children, full capacity is 315.
367 houses with the average 0.4 children per new home, would result in 147 children requiring an education, just a few, over the 17 spaces, leaving 130 children requiring education.
With this in mind, from the school applications process, these children would be closer, door to door, than Llay streets such as Pentre Street, Vale View, St David’s crescent and Mayville Avenue, this is due to the foot path through the woods being now adopted by Wrexham council.
So, my very big concern is what then happens to the children that can’t apply, do they walk up the Griffin Hill to Gresford school every day? You cannot get a bus as there is no bus route to Gresford from Llay.
I feel that this exculsion of existing Llay families would be extremely immoral and school application process is stresssful enough. Does anyone know if this is ok to do this?I think you will find Gresford School is full as well.

They wanted to open a new extra permanent exit but low and behold the council wouldn’t let them
But it’s already there, I have used it in the past. It seems daft the Council deliberately making the traffic worse than it need be.
On second thoughts that could be true, it wouldn’t be the first time the Council have caused traffic chaos!
BorrasBillParticipantI don’t understand why Tesco keep the rear exit closed. I don’t know if everyone is aware of it, but there is a rear exit on to Crescent Road, via the overflow car park. This is ideal for people wanting to go to Caia Park, Hightown etc. If it was open it would also reduce the amount of traffic exiting on to the Holt Road roundabout, which can be chaos at times.

Look at the above poster, can’t go wrong there.
My apologies, I misunderstood this post, by the time I reallised what you meant it wouldn’t let me edit it.

I think it has gone wrong, I can’t see a poster!

The only brightside to this is its going to upset Dave Owen Handyman who lives off Chapel Lane. This man has 6 CCJs against him and owes me personally 2K (outstanding CCJ)
How can anyone have 6 CCJs, are they not enforceable by law?

Don’t know how long it is since you were on the buses, but these days no one with a pass says their destination and neither does any driver ask, and also a ticket is not issued by the driver on arriva at least, so it would be pointless stating and asking the destination..;)
I wouldn’t imagine the drivers care really. They still get paid, Arriva get paid for accepting the pass so no one’s bothered. One thing you don’t see any more is Inspectors getting on the bus. When I was younger they were always getting on and checking, I haven’t seen one now for years.

But if you were to get off at Pulford and then get back on to Wrexham how would that be tracked ? because when using a pass you do not state the destination…
That is correct, you are not supposed to but as you say it can’t be tracked. You couldn’t do it the other way round though, Pulford to Chester. You would have to walk over the border in to Lavister. I can’t see why they don’t make it national, make travelling a lot easier.
BorrasBillParticipantYou can use it between all stations from Wrexham Central to Shotton, all bus services within Wales, and journeys in to England, as long as your journey starts or finishes in Wales. E.g. Wrexham to Chester, yes, Chester to Pulford, no.

Inbetween instagramming his tea Liam has tweeted saying tonight:
“No A483 closures this week they said. Well it’s closed tonight. Lady has come into the Beeches and been trying and failing to get on the A55”
“A483 Northbound closed from the Gresford roundabout, majority of traffic diverting through Gresford. Appears roadworks related.”
I don’t think this is connected with the Posthouse roadworks, it’s too far away. What must be confusing for visitors to the area is there were 2 separate diversion signs on Gresford roundabout, one pointing towards Gresford and one towards the Industrial Estate.
