The bins around town, like the photo posted on your twitter feed outside St.Giles Church , distract the eye from some of best views and buildings in the town. There are some particularly smelly ones which are permanently placed on York Street opposite the entrance to Eagles Meadow and in the shadow of our only grade one listed building. If an individual drops litter in the town they are likely to be given a fixed penalty notice , these people who permanently ” litter” the town centre appear to receive no sanctions at all. Why not?
