Air Rescue As Incident Closes Horseshoe Pass

One person was air lifted to hospital as a vehicle went over the edge of the Horseshoe Pass outside of Llangollen.

One male was taken to hospital with suspected broken arm and head injuries by air ambulance.

The incident occurred late this afternoon, close to the summit of the pass with reports of a white MX5 sports car going over the edge of the road down the steep slopes.

Llangollen Fire crews have said they were called to a road traffic collision just after 4pm this afternoon.

“One car involved, one male trapped, crews used spreaders and stabfast to extract casualty.”

“One male taken to hospital with suspected broken arm and head injuries by air ambulance.”

Crews from Wrexham and Ruthin also attended the scene.
