A vehicle has been destroyed following a suspected arson in Rhos.

Crews from Johnstown Fire Station were called to the car fire in the early hours of this morning.

The blaze was in close proximity to a property, with one breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used to “knock the fire back” and protect the address.

A spokesperson for Johnstown Fire Station said: “The property was inspected with a Thermal Imaging Camera for minor heat damage, and a Safe and well Check was completed with the Occupier.

“Crews carrying out Safe and well check tested smoke alarms within property, and highlighted possible risks and hazards.

“Car suffered 100% fire damage.

“Due to this being suspected Arson, North Wales Police were requested and attended.”
