North Wales recycling firm acquired by Ekman

The Board of Ekman & Co AB, a family and employee-owned company headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, say they are “pleased to welcome Allan Morris Recycling (AM Recycling Ltd) of North Wales into the Ekman Group”.

The Allan Morris Recycling business, which operates one of the most advanced paper recovery facilities in the country, has been acquired in whole last week and will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ekman & Co AB, trading as Allan Morris Recycling.

Ekman Recycling Limited, a member of the Ekman Group since 2016, has embarked on a remarkable journey of growth. The decision to expand its services reflects a strategic move aimed at ensuring sustained value creation over the long term, as well as enhancing supplier and customer satisfaction. In 2023 the company was the winner of the industry award known as “Awards for Excellence – Paper Recycler of the Year”.

Ekman Recycling Limited are a large category Environment Agency approved and accredited exporter, trading in recovered materials within the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.

The Managing Director of Ekman Recycling Limited, Pankaj Chowdhary, is excited about the opportunities that the integration of the two businesses will bring. “We have been working with Allan Morris Recycling in recent years, and we have always been impressed with their professional and flexible approach to doing business and I am particularly pleased that Carl Robertson will remain within the business as its Managing Director, along with his key staff, whom we welcome with open arms and look forward to working with for many years to come”.

Allan Morris Recycling was established in 2008 as a dedicated service provider to the recycling sector, the Allan Morris Recycling plant holds authority to process a wide range of paper and recyclable materials up to 75,000 tonnes per annum and has the capability to accept and load trucks and / or containers, with all material handled under cover. The facility can accept full or part loads and can handle bulk and baled materials.
