Man hospitalised with ‘serious injuries’ following suspected ‘wounding’ incident in Acton

A 27-year-old man has been taken to Stoke hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency services responded to a report of an assault at a property in the Acton area of Wrexham shortly after 2.45pm this afternoon.

The Wales Air Ambulance, along with multiple ground units were called to the incident near Derwent Crescent.

This evening police have said, “A 19-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of wounding and has been taken to police custody”

Acting Detective Inspector Claire Roberts added: “This was a contained incident that has now concluded, and we have no ongoing concerns for the community.

“Thank you to residents for their support whilst emergency services dealt with the incident that has now concluded.”
