A bike swap scheme is back up and running in time for Christmas.

Pedal Power, based in Alyn Waters, is overseeing the project which aims to match youngsters with the right size bike.

Bike Swap offers local families a free alternative to what can be an expensive upgrade to a bigger bike.

It aims to help families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis and to stop unwanted bikes being sent to landfill unnecessarily.

Families can donate an unwanted or outgrown bikes to the Pedal Power Bike Swap service and exchange it for a larger model (if available).

All the bikes that are available for swapping have undergone a pre delivery inspection by a qualified Cytec mechanic.

Pedal Power are also offering a free helmet with all Bike Swaps.

If families don’t have a bike to swap, please speak to the Team to see how they can help.

Local families are being asked to get in touch with Pedal Power they can call 07908 325508 and leave a message or send a message via the Contact Us page and a member of the Team will be in touch.

The scheme is funded by the Landfill Disposal Tax and administered by WCVA,
