Bellevue Park to host three-day Wrexham Christmas Market and Winter Festival!

A three-day Christmas Market and Winter Festival will take place in Wrexham this week.

Organised by Fair Event Management Ltd, in conjunction with Offa Community Council, the event will see Bellevue Park transformed into a hive of festive activity and celebration.

Taking place between Friday 8 December and Sunday 10 December the Christmas Market and Winter Festival will showcase independent traders and live music and entertainment

The event previously took place on Queens Square but has relocated to the larger venue at Bellevue Park, which organisers say will help to expand the offer

Friday 8 December will also see the official Bellevue Park Light Switch On 6:30pm.

Opening / closure times on the three days can be found in full below:

  • Friday – including Bellevue Light Switch On 3pm – 8pm ( Light Switch on 6:30pm)
  • Saturday – 10am – 7pm
  • Sunday – 10am 5pm

Across the three days shoppers and visitors will have the chance to enjoy brass bands and school choirs from across Wrexham.

Delta Dance Academy will be performing both dance and their Performing Arts students performing snippets from their upcoming performance of Pinocchio.

On both Saturday and Sunday, Klaus and the If Tones will be performing and entertaining the crowds.

Visitors can also support a range of independent traders, who will be selling everything you need for your Christmas shopping.

There will also be street food, tasty treats and hot food for people to enjoy across the three days.

A spokesperson for Fair Event Management Ltd, said: “As an organisation we are really excited for this move to Bellevue Park as it will allow the event to grow and support the local community in bringing move festive activities to the area.

“After outgrowing our previous home on Queens Square we looked to find somewhere we can create magical light installations and a fantastic festive atmosphere for Wrexham.

“This event has been really popular not just with the local community but people visiting from far and wide to attend, including last year many American and Canadian visitors too.

“We are supporting many amazing businesses including some fabulous local ones too, from grabbing your coffee from the guys at Bank Street Social, to getting your festive treats and award winning Jams from Bevs Been Baking or unique Gifts from Artful Items and Emily-Anne Jewellery.

“It worth a visit to support all the amazing independent businesses who will be in attendance.”

Fair Event Management Ltd was awarded a UKSPF grant to support events within Wrexham and this is one of the events which is being supported by the grant, helping to increase tourism within Wrexham over the Festive period.
