Appeal after robbery at Rhostyllen petrol station

An investigation is underway after a robbery at a petrol station in Wrexham.

Shortly before 12:20am on Sunday 9 June North Wales Police received reports of two masked men threatening a member of staff at the Esso garage on Wrexham Road, Rhostyllen.

The men made off with tobacco and cash.

Detective Inspector Chris Owen said: “We are following some good lines of enquiry as our investigation into this incident continues.

“I would like to reassure the community that incidents of this nature are rare in Wrexham, and there is not believed to be any wider threat the community.”
