    Rex Ham

I am surprised that contributors to this board have not commented our town’s mention in Private Eye (No. 1490) under the headline “library News”. The chief executive of WCBC announced a review of library services and “the eye” pointed out that the last such review resulted in the prediction that rather than saving, it would cost an additional £200,000 to transfer libraries to schools or volunteer groups.

I’m surprised the former report never saw the light of day!

Perhaps the ex Chief Librarian for Wrexham who was part of the review process could enlighten us on the rationale for ditching the previous report . It has worked in Gresford could it work in other communities who knows
