A rather depressing report on the use of consultants at WCBC.
Questions that arise 1. Why was this not picked up by scrutiny? 2. Have heads of departments who have retired been replaced by less qualified personnel? 3. Are the public and Wrexham.com with their Freedom of Information requests being short-changed on the information they are fed? 4. Is the Chief Officer on top of the job?
Far easier the keep going cap-in-hand to residents asking for another 9.9% than actually employing accountants that are competent enough to have done this off their own backs.
Plus paying consultants that know where they can buy brown envelopes is always a nice little earner. 10% to you, 2% back to me. Chuckle brothers approach.
Yet another Consultant’s report on Ty Pawb. The draft issued for approval in April 2023, but first seen by the public in March 2024
The report “Ty Pawb Whole Systems Audit” by Greener Edge Sustainability comprises some 60 pages. I, presume this report was requested after the £144k increase in energy costs for 2022.
Considering, this report was available in April 2023 and prior to the commencement of the refurbishment in the Butchers and General Market. It goes without saying that the recommendations for Ty Pawb will also be put in place in the other two rebuilds.

Agree , but surely all that should have been done during the multi million pound refurbishment.
