Police plane helps with hunt for man in ‘deer stalker hat’

A fixed wing police aircraft is helping police with a hunt for a man late this afternoon.

The plane is currently circling the Gresford area at 2000 feet , a different aircraft than the usual police helicopter.

Officers with National Police Air Service are currently searching the Wrexham area for man who is wanted and who made off from police in Borras earlier.

Police say 36-yr-old Ricky Copnall last seen wearing a green top, deer stalker hat and is approximately 5ft 6″tall.

One eyewitness has said, “3 marked police cars and two unmarked and police plane flying around old Wrexham Road.”
