We are quite excited to announce that Wrexham Lager will be served at The Racecourse ground this season!

Glyndŵr tell us Wrexham Lager will be the guest beer at the Glyndŵr University Racecourse Stadium next season after the university tied up a one-year deal with the Wrexham Lager Beer Company.

University bosses said the move had been made in response to requests from fans of both the football club and the North Wales Crusaders rugby league team.

Lynda Powell (pictured) director of campus management and commercial services at Glyndŵr University said: “Fans told us they wanted to see a guest beer available, and Wrexham Lager seemed a natural fit. As well as being hugely popular with supporters at the stadium down the years, Wrexham Lager Beer Company is a fantastic example of a company at the heart of the community. The university is always looking for ways to support and work alongside local business.”

The famous lager, relaunched in 2011 after nearly 10 years, is being served at a growing number of pubs across the region as it continues to make a strong comeback. It will be available on tap at the refurbished Centenary Club, set to be launched as official matchday bar ahead of the beginning of the new season.

The club will also be the home of the university’s official students’ guild bar.

Vaughan Roberts (pictured) from Wrexham Lager Beer Company said: “The deal is fantastic news for us. Wrexham Lager’s connections with the football club and its fans go back many years, and we are delighted to carry on that tradition.”
