Are you looking for simple and practical advice to improve your health and live the Wrexham area? The Big Health Day is here to help you!

The Big Health Day is an all-day event at Wrexham Memorial Hall and will take place on Tuesday 19th June 2012.

It has been organised by AVOW in partnership with Wrexham carer’s service and the Wrexham and district health support groups.

The event is open to members of the public and will feature talks from health professionals, exhibitions and even a musical performance. Entry is completely free and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

One of the event organisers said: “We want to put on a day that will be informative, interactive and provide attendees with practical advice to live a healthier lifestyle without sounding like a nagging parent!

“We decided to organize this second big health day after our inaugural event in 2011 was very well received. It featured participation from nearly 400 visitors across the day and 40 voluntary and community based organisations.”

“AVOW has a lot of experience in this type of event and we want to produce a timely and informative occasion where everyone involved will meet new people and learn something.

“Bringing together members of both the social and health care industries will provide people with important information to leading a healthy lifestyle and cut the medical jargon.”

“From coping with a stroke to quitting smoking and everything in-between this event is sure to be enjoyable and we hope you can attend!”
