Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have made their first appearance watching their club for the first time, at an away fixture in Maidenhead.

Shortly before kick off the co-Chairmen entered the ground to cheers from the several hundred fans who have made the trip, in the promised low key manner.

The crowd celebrated and chanted “Bobby give us a wave”, with Rob McElhenney obliging.

The Chairmen are expected in town from tomorrow for several days, with a range of understated engagements appearing to be lined up with a focus on community entities in the area as well as football.

Earlier today we noted the comments made in an Expedia podcast giving insight to what the trip, first of many, will entail – more here.

The pair had been watching games via custom streams set up for them to view from North America, however the first in-person game did not go to plan with a 3-2 loss complete with a red card for town.

The result leaves Wrexham 11th in the table, although with a game or two in hand, but already dropping off the pace of promotion rivals.
