A woman crashed into railings outside a Wrexham school yesterday afternoon and blew four times over the alcohol limit when tested by police.

We are told the school in question was Rhosddu Primary School on Price’s Lane, with the crash taking place shortly after 3pm.

A North Wales Police traffic officer tweeted the above picture of the readings provided around 45 minutes after the crash.

They pointed out the crash took place at 3:10pm, and pondered “If it hadn’t been half term…”

There has been a number of drink driving related incidents in Wrexham over the past few weeks, with Town Centre Inspector this week warning that those caught driving under the influence will face the ‘full force of the law’.

On Wednesday we reported how there had been four arrests for drink driving around the town centre in the space of seven days – along with an incident earlier this month when a man already on bail for drink driving flipped a car while over the limit.

Last week a woman was arrested after alleged drug-driving while on the school run, with children in the car.
