Two air ambulance helicopters attended an incident on Holt Road earlier today.

A large emergency service response was scrambled to the area, with multiple marked and unmarked police vehicles and dog units, along with first response vehicles attending.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called this morning, Monday 23 May at 11:33hrs to reports of a medical emergency in the Holt Road area of Wrexham. We sent three emergency ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.”

North Wales Police have also been approached for comment.

The two air ambulances left shortly after 1pm after landing off Deva Way – with two separate landing sites.

Some police vehicles have left the area, and traffic is flowing more freely on Holt Road after previous queues.

More soon.
