Trains Delayed As Car Hits Bridge Near Wrexham General

Trains have been delayed from going through Wrexham General Station until further notice this afternoon after a car hit a bridge on Rhosddu Road.

Network Rail officials said that trains may be delayed by 45 mins or more until the safety of the bridge is established.

The incident is believed to have happened between 1-2pm this afternoon.

A Network Rail spokesperson said: “A vehicle has struck a bridge at Wrexham General. Because of this, trains through the station may be delayed by up to 45 minutes. These delays will continue until further notice.”

Update 15.54pm: Network Rail have said that delays of 20 mins will remain until 16.45pm
