Staff at Cefn Mawr medical centre praised for “exceptional and tireless work to vaccinate residents”

Staff at a local medical centre have been praised for their “exceptional and tireless work to vaccinate residents”.

Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, made a socially distanced visit to meet the team and discuss in particular their successful work in delivering the Covid-19 vaccination programme at the Crane Medical Centre in Cefn Mawr.

During the visit, Mr Baynes thanked staff for their tireless work on behalf of residents and the local community. He met the Head of Practice and Partner, Dr Jayesh Patel; the Practice Manager and Partner, Sushila Manilal; the Assistant Practice Manager, Darron Kelly; the Practice Pharmacist, Anne Lewis and the Receptionist, Barbara Davies.

Sushila Manilal, Practice Manager of the Crane Medical Centre, said: “It has always been our number one priority and pleasure to be serving the health needs of our patients and the local community.

The Covid pandemic has merely reinforced our commitment to ensuring that we play our part in vaccinating and protecting as many of them as we can.

“As a practice we would like to thank all those patients who have come forward and received their vaccinations and for all your kind and positive comments on the organisation and delivery of the clinics both at Crane Medical Centre and at the local vaccination centre at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre.

“Our final comment would be to urge those who have not as yet been vaccinated to come forward. Together we will triumph over adversity and forge a “new” tomorrow – until then please continue to adhere to government guidelines for yours and everyone else’s safety.”

“It was a pleasure to hear first-hand from the staff about their successful GP Practice and how they have worked successfully together to tackle Covid-19 and I wish them all the very best for the future as they continue to serve families in Clwyd South with distinction.”
