An appeal has been launched after “significant damage” was caused to a number of parked vehicles near Wrexham town centre.

The incident occurred on Rivulet Road, Wrexham shortly before 6.45pm last night (13 January), and involved a male who was witnessed damaging parked cars.

Police say significant damage was caused to these vehicles, specifically to wing mirrors which had been kicked off by the suspect.

The male, who was described as white, in his twenties and dressed all in black, was challenged by a resident at a nearby property and then fled on foot.

Inspector Luke Hughes said: “It is incredibly frustrating when incidents like this occur, pointless damage committed for no other reason than this person’s inability to control their temper.

“It is disgusting and I can assure you we will be doing everything we can to locate this individual.”

If you have further information about this incident, or can help to identify the suspect, please call 101 quoting incident reference B005725
