Repair works have been undertaken on an iconic statue in Wrexham town centre.

The works on ‘The Arc’ on Lord Street took place yesterday due to damage to the brickwork of the circular plinths.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader and Lead Member for Finance, Performance, Health and Safety and Governance, said: “Work was carried out on the Arc to repair the circular plinths beneath the statues. Brick edgings needed repair due to being missing or damaged. Work has taken place and the cordon has now been removed.

“I’m very pleased to see the look of this popular town centre feature has been improved, and I’m sure many members of the public will appreciate it as well.”
