Police arrest protester as Theresa May arrives in Wrexham – full video

Police have arrested an Anti -Tory protestor outside the location of the Theresa May’s Welsh manifesto launch.

The protester called Connor armed with a hunting horn was heard shouting;

“This is a fascist state we are living in under Theresa May’s regime,”

A number police officers were seen dragging the protester towards a police van, one officer was heard telling journalists the man was under arrest for breach of the peace.

The police officer was asked “is shouting at a political meeting a breach of the peace” he didn’t reply.

Police were heard telling the protester to stop struggling as they battled to get past the media scrum and into the waiting police van.

In a statement North Wales Police have said;

“Following a protest in Wrexham a male has been arrested for breach of the peace.

North Wales Police are committed to allowing the rights to peaceful protests whilst ensuring everyone is kept safe.

Criminal Behaviour will not be tolerated”

Mrs May has left the building;
