Wrexham Council have confirmed Plas Coch Road will not be closed for six months, contrary to some signage in place.

They clarified this morning that the sign was placed in error by the traffic management company.

The monolingual sign (pictured below earlier today) stated a closure would be in place for six months.

Since then the council have said of a ‘sign circulated on social media’ – which is also offline in two places on the road – “was put in place on Plas Coch in error by the traffic management company.

They added, “The correct bi-lingual signage should be in place today stating that a one way road closure will be between the 5th – 9th June only.”

There will be a one way road closure in place on Plas Coch Road, between Fleming Drive and Plas Coch Roundabout, with the direction of travel towards Stansty Bridge. The top image shows the currently access closed warning for Stansty Bridge due to the current works there.

We have also asked who is doing the works, if the closure was publicised to the huge population of the city via a statutory notice in a highly circulated local publication, and if so , could we get a copy to circulate for free.
