Person airlifted to Stoke after needing “urgent medical treatment following a fall”

A person has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke after needing “urgent medical treatment following a fall”.

Shortly after 1:30pm there were reports that the Wales Air Ambulance had been landed in the Gresford area.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to Gresford, Wrexham this afternoon at 1.41pm to reports of a person in need of urgent medical treatment following a fall.

“We sent a rapid response vehicle, an emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance also attended.

“One patient was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital by air for further treatment.”
