It has been confirmed that the reported police activity in a town centre flat this afternoon was in relation to a male who had sadly passed away.

Officers from North Wales Police attended what was initially called a ‘police incident’ at a property on King Street, which was reported to them by Ambulance Control at 11:41am this morning.

Shortly after there was police presence on King Street, with two police cars seen on the road along with several police officers.

Town Centre Inspector Paul Wycherley said: “Initially, as with all incidents like this we have to consider all options in case there was anything suspicious, which is why we had officers at the scene.

“The male has been examined properly and I’m sad to report that a gentleman who lived in the flat has sadly passed away. The corner has been informed and there are no suspicious circumstances.”

The age of the male has not yet been confirmed.
