Parts of Wrexham are still affected by a mobile phone network problem, which is rumoured to be part of a national problem.

People on O2 and Tesco Mobile, which runs as a virtual network on O2, are affected unable to make or receive calls or texts.

O2 have not issued official information, but their status checker says: “Sorry we’re currently investigating reports that a phone mast in this area isn’t working. This means you might experience problems making calls, using the internet, or sending / receiving emails.”

Throughout the evening a number of people have contacted Wrexham.com reporting issues with O2 across the area, with many querying if it’s a one off issue or if more people have been impacted.

Jess tweeted to say: “Excuse me @O2 what’s going on with the signal in @wrexham I’ve had no service for ages now.”

Lisa Bell added: “Anyone having problems on O2 me and my dad both have no service and no signal.”

O2 are currently advising people to visit their help page / status checker for further information on what to do if you are experiencing issues with your network.

Up the road Deeside.com is reporting Chester was affected for a while, but is now working again, but parts of Flintshire are still down.
