Marked police car involved in two vehicle collision in Trevor

A police officer was taken to hospital for treatment on Tuesday following a collision in Wrexham.

The two vehicle crash, which involved a marked police car, took place on the A539 Llangollen Road, Trevor, at 6:40pm.

North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to the scene and the road was closed for several hours.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “At around 6.40pm yesterday, Tuesday November 22 we were called to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A539 Llangollen Road, Trevor.

“One of the vehicles involved was a marked police car.

“The road was closed while officers attended the scene, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.

“An officer was taken to hospital for treatment and released shortly after.

“The road has since reopened.”
