Man Trapped Under Digger In Rhosllanerchrugog

A man is currently trapped under a ‘large digger’ on premises around Bronwylfa, close to Rhosllanerchrugog. The fire service told us they were first called to the scene just after 3pm where they launched a rescue operation.
As of 5pm the rescue is still ongoing with fire service specialists still on the scene.
There is a pump and rescue unit from Wrexham in attendance, along with a specialist rope rescue team from Colwyn Bay.
North Wales Fire Service issued a statement saying:
Fire crews from Wrexham and Colwyn Bay attended an incident where a man was trapped under a digger in Rhosllanerchrugog at 3.05pm on Friday 13th July.
An appliance, a technical rescue unit and the rope rescue team were sent to the incident where a man was rescued from underneath the digger.
Crews used rope rescue equipment as well as equipment from the technical rescue unit to stabilise the man and the digger before he was released and taken care of by paramedics at the scene.
The incident was brought under control by 4.10pm
