Man sustains “severe injuries” after RTC between cyclist and car

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following a road traffic collision near Wrexham town centre this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Salop Road area earlier today to attend what police referred to as a “contained incident”.

An appeal has now been issued following a collision between a pedal cyclist and a Nissan XTrail occurred at 10:30am on Salop Road.

The male cyclist sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.

Anyone who has any further information on the incident is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number Z131316.
