Man Killed After Motorbike Crash On Newbridge Road

A man has died following the road traffic collision in Cefn Mawr / Newbridge yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 3pm a collision occurred on Newbridge Road between a motorcycle and a stationary car.

The emergency services were called and the motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Stoke by the Air Ambulance. Sadly he has since died.

Nobody else was injured during the collision.

The road was immediately closed and re-opened shortly after 7pm.

Sergeant Jane Thomas of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or to anybody who may have seen the motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision to contact us.”
