Breaking…

Traffic chaos hit major roads this morning after a collision between a fuel tanker and several cars on the M56 eastbound.

This then blocked the M53 feeding on, with A55 traffic tailing back and being diverted through Hoole junction towards Frodsham.

This is expected to knocl on to Wrexham commuters using A483 northbound, plus anyone using these roads.

Roads expected to reopen 9.30 am.

Reports 5000 litres of diesel have spilt, and some flights from Manchester airport delayed as pilots stuck in traffic!
