Late Night Incident At Johnstown Co-op Shop

Wrexham.com’s tweeters on @wrexham were reporting police helicopter activity over the town from around 11:50pm onwards. Several of our followers based in Johnstown mentioned that the hoverring was most intense over them. One follower, @ItsNath_B sent us this video – with his own commentary!

The police helicopters light was focused on the Co-op shop and several police were seen in the shops car park.

Other residents voiced concern after a man was seen earlier today asking for scrap metal in Johnstown, despite not having any transport to take it with him. A concerned resident mentioned it seemed he was ‘casing’ houses, and assessing who was in or out at work.

Local residents have recently been sent a letter warning them of a spate of house robberies in the area.
