Last chance for Wrexham organisations to apply for warm hubs funding

There is still time for organisations and groups to apply for funding to help create a warm space for local residents.

Wrexham Council is working alongside local partners to create a network of warm hubs – where members of the public can come together to stay warm, take part in activities, get advice and perhaps have a cuppa.

Groups and organisations can apply for a £1,000, which can be used to offset a range of costs – for example, energy costs, activity costs, materials needed or staffing costs.

However the third and final round of grant is being advertised with a closing date of 31 January 2023.

Cllr David A Bithell, Chair of the cross party Cost of Living Group, said, “Many people are struggling to make ends meet and as we face the colder weather warm spaces will be appreciated by residents in the coming months as somewhere welcoming to go to.

“If you are a group or organisation in Wrexham please consider applying for the grant to make life a little easier for people in your community.”

• Full budget breakdown
• Number of sessions, day and time of the week
• Estimated number of people could attract weekly
• Estimated number of volunteers will be using weekly
