Items of “significant and sentimental value” stolen from elderly woman’s home

An appeal has been launched after several items of significant, sentimental value were stolen during a burglary in Wrexham.

The incident at an elderly woman’s home in Hightown happened on Tuesday, January 17, sometime between 8pm and 10pm.

War medals including an African Star, an Egyptian Star and a Coronation Medal belonging to the victim’s late father were just some of the items stolen during the incident.

Numerous pieces of sentimental jewellery also taken included collector’s watches, Pandora bracelets, gold diamond rings, gold sapphire earrings, a matching silver Tiffany necklace and bracelet, an antique gold laced heart necklace with pearls and a silver ring with a blue stone and earing to match.

Anyone with information, or anybody who is approached to buy items similar to the ones described is asked to get in touch on 101 or via the website quoting reference 23000050899.
