Residents of Gwersyllt and Pandy will be able to get hot pizza close enough to collect – however up to 10pm at night.

Tonight supreme decision makers Wrexham Council’s Planning Committee, the crustonians of the local planning process, voted with a majority in favour to grant the planning to enable the creation of the store.

There were thin and crispy reasons for refusal, with the main concern being a short debate over opening times which resulted in an adjustment to 10pm rather than 11pm.

The takeaway / delivery store will be located between the existing Spar and Post Office and the dentist – with a short exchange with a councillor being made aware there is a Spar store there.

A new fascia will be installed and window display screen, with a possible opening date from February.

The planning debate suffered from poor audio, with Zoom links to the meeting room in the Guildhall crystal clear, however those speaking in the room verging on unintelligible at times.

One councillor called it “horrendous” to us, with another tweeting publicly:

Meetings in the main chamber where the initial webcasting gear was installed is normally much better sound wise and quality, where the agenda says tonights meeting should have been held. However, in the replacement meeting room venue the audio has been regularly terrible.
