Gresford set to go to polls for by-election to return new councillor

The poll to decide Gresford’s and Wrexham’s new councillor is open from 7am tomorrow (Thursday) through to 10pm.

Voting will take place in person at the Gresford Memorial Hall, Off High Street in Gresford throughout the day.

Six people have been formally nominated as candidates in the by-election.

The full candidate list is:

  • Beryl Blackmore – Welsh Liberal Democrats
  • Alan Butterworth – Green Party
  • Aled Canter – Welsh Labour
  • Charles Dodman – Reform UK
  • Jeremy Kent – Welsh Conservatives
  • Aimi Waters – Plaid Cymru

Results are expected around 11PM tomorrow.
